This provides padding for the sole of the
foot and distributes the body weight evenly on the plantar surface
during weight bearing. This even distribution of weight reduces
the pressure in high-risk areas for ulceration and protects
anesthetic feet. MCR is now used by diabetics also to reduce
complications due to plantar ulcers.
MCR footwear is being manufactured along with several types
of orthotic items by our physiotherapy department. |
